Funeral Celebrant
A Funeral Celebrant is a Non-Religious Professional,
Authorized to Officiate a Funeral in Australia.
As an increasing number of people across the nation identify themselves as non-religious, the need for funeral celebrants is on the rise. An end of life celebrant is not affiliated with any religion and can officiate a funeral to the specifications of the deceased or their family.
If you are concerned that your funeral will turn into a religious “hell-fire and brimstone, come to God” lecture or if you just feel uncomfortable having a religious ceremony when it doesn't reflect your life, contact me. As a celebrant I will listen as you plan a celebration of life and I will make sure that your wishes are carried out. If you have recently lost a loved one and don’t know where to turn because you do not have a funeral director, I will meet with you to talk about your loved one and help plan a service that honours their beliefs and life respectfully.
I understand you may have many questions at this time, please feel free to contact me. As a member of The Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement, I can help provide a number of resources for the bereaved.
